Location overview

The Dandenong funeral home underwent extensive renovations in 2017 and reopened in March 2018, bringing our client families excellent facilities for service. As you arrive at the front of the Dandenong location, you can enter via the central entrance leading into the foyer and chapel, or the right-hand entrance leading directly into the shared White Lady and Le Pine Funerals reception area.

We are proud to serve the residence of Noble Park, Keysborough, Springvale South, Dandenong North, Endeavour Hills and other surrounding suburbs.

Entering via the foyer

As you enter you are greeted by a beautiful open foyer leading into the chapel, as seen above. On the right hand side of the foyer there is a toilet with disability access.

To your right is a door leading to the shared reception area where you are greeted by both White Lady Funerals and Le Pine Funerals staff.

The reception area has its own entry from the front of the building as well, to the right of the glass doors leading into the foyer and chapel.

To your left is a short hallway leading to the Memorial Lounge and the White Lady Funerals arrangement rooms.

Arrangement rooms

The funeral home includes three arrangement rooms, one of them doubling as a spacious viewing room separate to the chapel. Each of the arrangement rooms offers comfortable seating where you can have tea or coffee while speaking to your funeral director.

The chapel boasts beautiful rake ceilings, is fully air conditioned and includes state of the art audio visuals with four screens in the chapel. The chapel seats 170 guests, and the Dandenong location can cater to larger services of up to 250 guests with standing room in the overflow areas in the foyer and the Memorial Lounge, both of which are connected to the chapel via audio visuals with two screens in the foyer and another two screens in the Lounge.

Twilight services are available at this location.

Memorial Lounge

The Memorial Lounge is a light-filled, spacious catering area which includes an outdoor section and a commercial kitchen for your catering needs.

With its own entrance available separate to the funeral home, the Memorial Lounge is ideal not only for after funeral gatherings but any kind of celebration such as birthdays and anniversaries.

The Lounge can cater for up to 200 guests with glassware and crockery available.

Meet James Malachi, White Lady Funerals Dandenong location manager.

What do you enjoy about your job?

The variety.  Each day is different and this is one of the things I love about my job. Being a funeral director requires a lot of skill and a dedicated work ethic. There’s an emphasis not only on respecting the deceased but also having unparalleled customer service, event management and business management skills. Above all, it’s about creating a positive impact on people’s lives, which I love.

How long have you been a location manager?

I have been the locations manager for the last 5 years.

What do you enjoying doing in your spare time?

Running, 4WDing and hanging out with friends and family.

Are there community groups you work with or support?

  • Advance Care Planning: I help educate individuals, their loved ones, carers and healthcare professionals the importance of making an “Advance Care Plan”  for the future.  This reduces anxiety and improves outcomes for all involved.
  • R U OK? : I present and do campaigns to inspire and empower everyone to have meaningful conversations and to connect with people who could be struggling with life.
  • Blue Ribbon: I help raise funds for The Victoria Police Blue Ribbon Foundation, which perpetuates the memory of the 159 Victoria Police employees who have died in the line of duty through the support of worthwhile community projects in Victoria.
