Meet Sarah
How long have you been a funeral arranger?
I am an industry newcomer, but already love it! It’s rewarding and fascinating and complex all at once. I came to White Lady from a small business background, having owned my own shop for some 13 years in Mt Martha, here on the beautiful Mornington Peninsula.
What do you like about being a funeral arranger?
I chose to move into the funeral industry because I wanted to do something impactful, positive and important. Looking after families at their most vulnerable time is truly an honour.
What do you enjoy doing in your spare times?
Now that I have weekends (retail – 13 years!) I am enjoying spending more time with my 3 daughters, a bit of gardening here and there on a nice day, and the opportunity to get in the kitchen at leisure! I lean towards a Mediterranean cuisine – allowing the flavour of fresh produce to shine.
What’s one thing people don’t know about you?
Guilty pleasure? A delicious Pinot Noir paired with a charcuterie board, and shared with good friends and lots of laughs.
Do you speak any other languages?
Having raised three daughters – I speak GIRL very well
What do you like about your local area?
The Mornington Peninsula is so beautiful, and I am blessed to live here. The changing landscapes and beaches are breathtaking, the walking tracks fascinating, and there are so many amazing wineries and restaurants.
What charities does your brand/location support in your area?
White Lady Mornington works with many local charities, and in 2026, we will be increasing our focus to mental health support.
What makes your brand special?
White Lady is a highly regarded funeral provider, and our offer and standards befit our reputation. Respect, compassion and genuine, gentle care is what we do so well. “A Woman’s Touch”
What song would you play at your funeral and why?
Bittersweet Symphony by The Verve. “It’s a bittersweet symphony this life”
What would you like to have included at your funeral and why?
A lot of laughs to balance out the tears. Followed by a good, old fashioned Irish-style wake!
Honoured to stand beside you
as you say farewell
The death of a loved one is always very difficult. In our case it was our mother's farewell that we had to plan. White Lady Funerals helped us say farewell to our mother in the most caring and beautiful way. Their efficiency and empathy were the most outstanding features of their service. If it is called a recommendation for these events, then I would highly recommend that you do yourselves a favor and contact White Lady Funerals to help you through these very emotional and difficult times.
