Meet Rachel

What do you enjoy about your job?
I’m able to practise kindness in my day-to-day work. Connecting with families and offering meaningful support during such an emotional time is a true privilege.

How long have you been a location manager?
I’ve been in the funeral industry for almost ten years, and joined InvoCare seven months ago. Before becoming a funeral director, I worked in HR, recruitment and training. I was drawn to this profession because I wanted a role where I could genuinely serve families in need.

What do you enjoy in your spare time?
I love aromatherapy and enjoy making my own candles, bath products and personal care items. I also find time to read and practise regular meditation to look after my wellbeing.

Are there any special community groups you work with or support?
Yes, we support several local charities including the Hutt Street Centre, which helps people experiencing homelessness; the Australian Red Cross Lifeblood blood drive; and Share The Dignity, a charity supporting women in need.
