Location Manager - Bulli
Meet Rhonwyn
What do you enjoy about your job?
It's an honour walking with people and families through one of the most difficult and painful times of their life and making the funeral as meaningful and significant as possible.
How long have you been a location manager?
I’ve been in the funeral industry for nearly six years and with Invocare for around one year. Before Invocare, I was a funeral celebrant and the ‘Small Group and Welcome & Integration Minister’ at Wollongong Church of Christ. My passion in life is to serve, support, encourage and make a difference to the lives of others in a positive way.
What do you enjoy in your spare time?
Going with my grandchildren and family to church then to a café or Bunnings for morning tea. Also love working in my garden and walking through nature..
What do you like about your local area?
There is nothing better than where I live – between the mountains, the bush and the sea! The strength and grandeur of the mighty hills, valleys and mountains, and splendor of the rivers and boundless seas.
What is the most remarkable funeral you’ve ever arranged?
The most interesting funeral that I organised was a natural burial and a free spirit ceremony. There was singing and dancing to the beat of a drum, various people played different instruments, incense was burnt and people sat on their picnic rugs in the open air.
What charities does your brand support in your area?
We support many different charities and organisations including many of the nursing homes and hospitals in the area. We support Illawarra Women’s Health, Women Illawarra, Zonta Club Wollongong, Bulli Community Centre, and Shine like Charli Annual Charity Ball for Children’s Cancer.
What makes your brand special?
The care, strength and compassion that our White Lady Bulli team gives to people at a time of need and the privilege that we have of serving our community and touching the lives of others in practical and supportive ways.
Honoured to
stand beside you as you say farewell
Rhonwyn and her team were compassionate and professional on the day, treating my mum like one of their own. They are particularly polished and immaculately turned out; from the ladies to the vehicles, everything was top-level. Rhonwyn was especially helpful, thoughtful, and supportive as I navigated the arrangements largely alone. I would wish for the White Lady Team to handle my funeral when my time comes.
The whole experience from beginning to end was amazing. Daily contact, ideas and support from Rhonwyn was invaluable at this sad time. She thought of everything. Kristy’s genuine support with helping to dress mum, again invaluable. Hayley and the team were amazing. Thanks everyone, we couldn’t have done it without you all. I would recommend White Ladys to everyone, men included. Thanks again.
