What do you enjoy about your job?

I love being able to lighten the weight on families that come to us and the smallest things we do can matter so much.I love the team I work with and how passionate and dedicated they all are. We support each other completely, so much so that I entrusted the care of two of my own family members to them when their time came.I also love the education part of my job, dispelling myths around the industry, and making the discussion around death and dying more open.

How long have you been in the industry?

I’ve been with Invocare for 6 years. I felt the call to do something more fulfilling.

What's something that people don't know about you?

I have a cat and two dogs (all failed fosters) and enjoy spending time with them. I’m also part of the Australian Koolie Rescue group which is a breed specific rescue for herding dogs that fall on hard times and end up in pounds around Australia.

What’s the most remarkable funeral you’ve ever arranged?

All funerals are remarkable, amazing, poignant, and beautiful. I’ve had the privilege of either assisting at or arranging many over the years.One family had a 5 foot high helium filled unicorn in honour of the cancer charity they were supporting.

What charities does your brand support?

We support 'Wrapped with Love’ knits and crochets blankets for the needy. We are a collection point for the blankets and also now act as a drop off point for families donating yarn.We are a collection point for spectacles and hearing aids that are refurbished and sent overseas with Rotary. We also sponsor children to attend the Special Children's Christmas Party.
