Different faiths and cultures have their own traditions for caring for someone after they die. If there are particular requirements around washing, dressing, who may be present or care for your loved one, let us know. We’ll work with your family and faith leaders to understand and follow these traditions.
With our own mortuaries and transport, your loved one remains in our care throughout, so their care can continue in accordance with your customs.
Across our locations, our Funeral Directors speak a range of languages. Where possible, we’ll connect you with someone who speaks your preferred language, or help arrange an interpreter if needed, so you can feel comfortable discussing your loved one’s funeral arrangements.
Faith, culture, family custom. Whatever shapes your goodbye, we will work with it. Just tell us what you need and we will make it happen.
We will speak with your clergy, temple, mosque, or community leaders and sort out the details with them. You do not need to be the go-between.
Your place of worship, our chapel, a home, or somewhere that mattered to them. If you have a place in mind, we will make it work.
To craft a truly meaningful farewell, we’ll discuss the different choices that bring the service together.
1
We’ll help you choose a coffin or casket that meets your religious or cultural requirements.
2
If your loved one is being cremated, we can help you choose an urn that reflects your traditions and how you plan to keep, inter or scatter their ashes.
3
Your traditions may include particular jewellery or other items to be worn or placed with your loved one. We’ll talk through what you’d like included.
4
Choose flowers that hold personal or cultural significance, or let us know if your traditions call for something different.
5
We’ll arrange transport for your loved one and your family, taking any customs or traditions into account.
We offer a range of funeral services to help you plan a farewell that feels right.
The cost of a funeral depends on the type of service and personalisation. Your Funeral Specialist will talk through your options, so you understand what’s included and what it will cost.
Always under our care
From the moment your loved one comes into our care, they will be looked after by our team, in our funeral homes, and transported in our vehicles.
Included every time
Every White Lady funeral includes the essential services, including all administrative and legal requirements, transportation, and mortuary care.
Choose what feels right
From the flowers to the venue, choose the details that feel right for your loved one. We’ll talk you through options and costs, so you can decide what to include.
Take the time you need
Your loved one can stay in our care while your family makes arrangements, or while family and friends travel to be there. There’s no additional cost for this time.
You can hold the service at one of our funeral homes, but we can also arrange for the funeral to be held at a local place of worship, private property or even a favourite park or beach. We'll coordinate all the logistics to make sure the venue you choose feels right and reflects your loved one's story.
We work with local faith leaders and community groups to understand the needs and traditions of those in our area. Across Australia, we’ve planned funerals for a range of religions.
While some religions dictate a timeframe, for most families, there’s no rush. Once your loved one is in our care, you can take your time to plan the service. Many families hold the funeral within a week of passing, but there is plenty of room for flexibility.
No, if your loved one was not aligned with a particular religion or culture, you can plan a meaningful, personalised service without the religious elements.
