Meet Geraldine O'Malley, White Lady Funerals Rockdale location manager
How long have you been in the funeral industry?
I have been arranging funerals for over six years, joining as the Location Manager for White Lady Rockdale in July 2017.
What do you like about being a funeral arranger?
When you lose a loved one, it is extremely important to be able to farewell them correctly. Many families I meet have never organised a funeral before and don’t know where to start. By guiding them through the process and teasing out what they want to achieve, we can deliver a beautiful farewell for their family member or friend. I find that most rewarding.
What do you enjoy doing in your spare time?
I particularly love catching up with friends and family over breakfast, a long lunch, or a visit to an exhibition or concert. Sydney offers so many opportunities to do this. I love the friendly and relaxed lifestyle and the fresh air that is unique to a beachside or harbourside locality. It really helps me unwind.
What makes White Lady so special?
There are so many things that make the White Lady special. In essence, though, it is because we genuinely care about our families, and it is important to us to make sure that we deliver the perfect funeral for our families.
Most of us have lost someone dear to us, so we understand what our families are going through. We know just how significant the little details can be and will do our best to ensure everything is right on the day.

Following the ceremony, your loved one can be buried or cremated at Rookwood Memorial Gardens and Crematorium, Eastern Suburbs Memorial Park, Woronora Memorial Park or Randwick Cemetery.
