5 October 1942- 5 August 2023 Friend (Dane), Lois Marie Passed away peacefully after a short, but fierce battle with a cancer related illness on Saturday August 5, 2023. Beloved wife of Phillip. Cherished mum to Samantha (Justin) Kenney and Jody (Sharyn) Friend. Adored grandma of Finnegan, Beatrix and Elsie (Samantha and Justin), Zoe, Lexi and Hazel (Jody and Sharyn). Devoted daughter of late Bill and Agnes Dane. Survived by her siblings, Stephen Dane (Lorrie) of Beaverton, Canada and Margaret Melch of Oshawa, Canada, and predeceased by her brothers Bill Dane Jnr (Carol) and Ron Dane (Carolyn). Dear aunt, great aunt, cousin, and friend to many near and far. Forever in our hearts. Forever creating footsteps in the snow. Forever where the maple leaves blow in the wind. Funeral service in Australia will take place at the Uniting Church, 16/18 High Street Frankston on Friday August 18 at 2.30pm (viewing 2.00-2.25pm). A celebration of life will take place at the Frankston RSL following the service at 4.00pm. No flowers please.
