McGrath Foundation

In June 2008 Jane McGrath, an inspiration to many, passed away from breast cancer and White Lady Funerals were privileged to be able to support her family through the funeral and beyond. We were also touched by the impact her passing had on the Australian community.

Through the work of the McGrath Foundation, Jane's vision of a Breast Care Nurse available for each family dealing with breast cancer continues, and White Lady Funerals are honoured to be able to assist the Foundation meet its goals.

Since 2008 White Lady Funerals has assisted the McGrath Foundation through:

  • The 2009 Memorial service in honour of the first anniversary of Jane's passing
  • Ladies High Tea at the Ivy
  • Ladies Day for the McGrath Foundation at Rosehill
  • McGrath Foundation Gala Dinner
  • McGrath Foundation Sports Charity Ball
  • 2010 Sydney Cricket Test - Jane McGrath Day

Lions Recycle for Sight Programme

Lions Recycle for Sight Programme delivers recycled eye glasses to people in developing countriesThe Lions are one of the world's best known community organisations and the Recycle for Sight programme is one of their most important initiatives. Eye glasses are collected, repaired and cleaned, and then sent to communities in the developing world where they are distributed to people who otherwise would have no access to them. A simple pair of eye glasses can literally have a life changing effect for the recipient.

White Lady Funerals assists this programme through the placement and promotion of eye glasses collection boxes in our funeral homes and around our communities.

Together with the help of the community, White Lady Funerals has sent thousands of eye glasses to the Lions for distribution to communities currently without access to the medical services or the funds required to address vision impairment.
