What do I need to know?
The first thing you need to know is that if someone has just passed away it is perfectly alright for you to call someone like a partner, friend or relative to be with you. You should give yourself time to let the situation sink in.
We know that it can be quite a shock realising someone you love has passed away, even if you were expecting it. Calling your loved one’s doctor may also be a good idea.
After that, calling White Lady Funerals on 1300 656 550 and making a time to come in to one of our conveniently located funeral homes, means our female funeral directors will be there for you with our special woman’s understanding.
Someone you love has passed away
The passing of a loved one is a difficult time and a woman’s understanding can make all the difference.
Your White Lady will, with our special woman’s touch:
- gently guide you through all steps for the arrangement of a funeral service
- assist fully in obtaining all necessary certificates
- answer all of your questions, and
- be there to support you and your family through this emotional time.
We commit ourselves to being there for you in your time of need and to looking after you and your family from start to finish and beyond.
During the funeral service
On the day of the funeral service, your White Lady funeral director and her colleagues will be with you every step of the way. We will ensure everything is taken care of, so that you can be there with your loved ones.
We provide a calm, gentle presence with our experienced funeral directors attending to every matter. Our comfort is available to all on the day; mothers, fathers, children, friends and other family members. You can be assured that White Lady Funerals will look after you.
After the funeral service
White Lady’s support does not end when the funeral service concludes. Some families need more than that and we can offer you extra support in dealing with the loss of your loved one.
Our program of aftercare assists families once the funeral service is over. Activities include special memorial services on Mother’s Day and at Christmas to celebrate the importance and memory of your loved one. These events are a very special time for friends and families to gather together and celebrate the life the people they are missing.

Our female funeral directors also respond to requests to present information on a range of ‘dealing with grief’ topics, because knowing more can sometimes be very healing. If you would like one of our funeral directors to come and speak to your group, call us on 1300 656 550 or come in to one of our conveniently located funeral homes.
Planning ahead
You may have been a guest at a funeral arranged by one of White Lady’s funeral directors, arranged a funeral for a loved one with us yourself, or heard from someone who was touched by the distinctive style of funeral service we provide. If this is the case, you may wish to preplan your funeral service with us at one of our funeral homes.
Planning a White Lady funeral service for yourself or a dependent ensures our support and distinctive woman’s understanding will be there to make the funeral service you commission as perfect as it can be. This has many benefits.
